A fight between Kevin Lee and James Moontasri is heading to UFC Fight Night 71, as it was announced on Sunday that the two are set to square off in San Diego.
Both fighters picked up their most recent wins at UFC Fight Night 60 in Colorado in February, with Lee defeating Michel Prazeres on the main card and Moontasri beating Cody Pfister in the opening bout.
For Lee, that marked his third straight win in the UFC since a loss to Al Iaquinta in his UFC debut. That remains the only loss on his record.
As for Moontasri, the German lightweight's win over Pfister was his first in the UFC following a split decision loss to Joe Ellenberger in his debut. The former RFA competitor enters this event with an 8-2 overall record in ten career fights.
UFC Fight Night 71 comes to San Diego on July 15, airing live on Fox Sports 1. The fight will be headlined by the heavyweight matchup between Frank Mir and Todd Duffee.
