Despite TNA Wrestling no longer airing on Spike TV, Bellator MMA is holding onto a crossover competitor in Bobby Lashley.
The organization announced on Friday that Lashley has signed a long term extension with them after two appearances, and his MMA career will continue under that banner.
"I've had two fights with Bellator, and I'm happy to be calling the promotion my home," said Lashley. "Scott Coker and the company have really reignited my desire to fight and I'm looking forward to a huge year with some dominant wins."
Lashley, who first gained exposure in the WWE, transitioned to MMA in 2008. He appeared twice in Strikeforce in 2010, then fought intermittently over the next several years while returning to pro wrestling action in TNA as well.
He's won five straight fights over the last couple of years, submitting Josh Burns and Karl Etherington in his two Bellator bouts last fall. He was supposed to return last month, but suffered an injury that delayed his return.
