"If he just wants to sit there and lay on me like Danny Castillo did, he can try to play the judges, but it's just not going to work, man. He's going to have a barrage of knees, punches, kicks and elbows coming at his face, and with an unlimited supply of conditioning. That's one of his downfalls right there... Even keeping range, or if we're going to go close range, I'm a wrestler, and his size is easier to replicate. I live in Southern California, and there's a s***load of people here, man. There are a bunch of people who are down to help me win. So when this guy goes to shoot in on me, you've got to remember, I used to wrestle at 184 pounds. I bumped up two weight classes, and I was wrestling guys who were 210 pounds, no problem, and I'm barely making 174. I'm used to these big brutes coming after me. It's not going to translate any differently when I get in that Octagon on Saturday... [Michael Johnson] kept on his feet, kept his shots really light, and he took out Gleison Tibau. When I go in and watch film, I look at these guys' mistakes, and I want to make sure I capitalize on them."

-Tony Ferguson talks to MMAJunkie.com about his fight with Gleison Tibau on Saturday at UFC 184, and why he has no issue with Tibau's size into the matchup.

Penick's Analysis: Tibau's been one of the longest tenured fighters in the UFC because he is fairly consistent, and rarely strings together losses. Still, while he's certainly a very solid fighter, he doesn't have the type of skill set that makes him stand out from the pack. He's just solid enough to beat some guys, while others are simply better than him. Ferguson, at this stage, is one of the others, and should prove that in Los Angeles on Saturday.
