Dan Henderson got stopped for the third time in four fights on Saturday, as the referee stepped in following some big strikes from Gegard Mousasi at UFC on Fox 14.
There was some controversy in the stoppage, as Henderson appeared to turn into Mousasi for a takedown after the ref stepped in, but on replay it was even clearer how hurt he was.
Mousasi cracked Henderson behind the ear as he came forward, which dropped him briefly to a knee. Henderson got back up, but another punch caught him off balance and he fell back hard into the cage. Mousasi followed up on the ground, and landed a hard left to the jaw that seemed to put send him limp briefly before he instinctively grabbed for Mousasi's legs.
The fight was over just a minute and ten seconds into the frame, and sent Henderson's record to just 1-5 in his last six fights. Mousasi bounced back from a submission loss to Jacare Souza, and scored his first TKO victory since 2011.
