Dana White is refuting comments from Jon Jones' mother that the UFC Light Heavyweight Champ spent just a day in rehab after the fuss made last week. In an interview with The Boston Herald, White said it was "not necessarily the case" on Jones' rehab stint, and said more will come out when Jones is ready to speak.
"When the whole story comes out, people will understand, it will be put into perspective," White said. "When Jon Jones comes out and does his interview, the truth will come out, and everyone will understand. Or they won't, you know. Jon is a very polarizing guy, people either love him or they hate him. Either way, the truth will come out soon."
Jones' mother said her son was out after a day in a drug treatment facility, and would be joining the family this weekend at the AFC Championship game, where his two brothers will be playing against one another.
Penick's Analysis: Whether it was a day, two days, three days, it's seemed like a publicity stunt. Regardless, the important thing is for it not to happen again. Whether that's going to be the case or not is up to Jones, and if it continues to be an issue, they've got other problems to deal with.
