It took Lyoto Machida just 62 seconds to finish C.B. Dollaway on Saturday night, as he eviscerated Dollaway with a kick to the body and finished him at the cage at UFC Fight Night 58.
The brutal body kick came under a minute into the round, with an audible echo throughout the building. Dollaway immediately reacted in serious pain, and went down against the cage. Machida followed up with strikes at the cage, and Dollaways couldn't do anything but cover up.
Machida makes it a quick win in his first fight since a title loss to Chris Weidman in one of the year's best fights, and he'll be targeting a top matchup early in 2015 to get back in line for another title shot.
In the co-main event on Fox Sports 1, Renan Barao submitted Mitch Gagnon after a tough two and a half rounds of action. Barao was the better fighter throughout, but Gagnon gave him a very tough fight. Ultimately, Barao scored a takedown in the third, passed, and secured an arm triangle choke for the win, getting him back on track in his first fight since losing the UFC Bantamweight Title in May.
