When the UFC announced their full schedule last week for 2015, the dates included listed each of the numbered pay-per-views, while the remainder were all listed as "UFC Fight Night" events.
That meant they hadn't differentiated between which dates were airing on Fox, which were airing on Fox Sports 1, and which were airing on UFC Fight Pass. However, the UFC has since confirmed the network television dates, as the next two UFC on Fox cards after the announced April 18 event in Newark, New Jersey, are set.
The July 25 date on the schedule will serve as UFC on Fox 16, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com, while the Dec. 19 date will be UFC on Fox 17. Venues and fights will be announced in the months to come.
Those two join the Jan. 24 event from Stockholm, Sweden, and the aforementioned April 18 event from the Prudential Center.
Penick's Analysis: They're keeping a similar schedule to the past few years, so neither of the new spots for UFC on Fox cards are surprising. Like this year's UFC on Fox 13 card, the Dec. 19 date will serve as their final event of the year, as the UFC will avoid a pay-per-view event close to Christmas, pushing the annual year-end/beginning of the year show in Las Vegas to the first weekend of January 2016.
