The UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort is heading to the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 28 at UFC 184, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.

That takes Belfort out of the Nevada Athletic Commission's jurisdiction after they licensed him this summer and promised to test him randomly on a frequent basis. That was when the fight was scheduled for UFC 181 in December, but as it turns out, they haven't administered any random tests to the challenger as of yet.

According to a separate report from MMAFighting.com, the NAC failed to follow through on their threats of continuous testing at Belfort's expense, and have passed on the responsibility for testing to the California State Athletic Commission for this event.

That news didn't sit well for Weidman, who Tweeted his incredulous reaction to the fact that Belfort has yet to be tested once.

The UFC canceled their last trip to Los Angeles in August when Jose Aldo's injury left the UFC 176 event with no headliner.

Penick's Analysis: It shouldn't be surprising, but it's laughable as all hell that the commission licensed Belfort following his failed out of competition drug test, swearing up and down to test him to the ends of the earth, and they didn't even follow up with a single test. Absolutely asinine, but again, probably what everyone should have seen coming. Now that the fight's been rescheduled, will we see any random testing from the CSAC? I don't necessarily expect that to happen, either, but it would be more than understandable if Weidman took further issue with the lack of testing being done.
