Brock Lesnar's WWE contract is reportedly set to expire next year, and because of that, the idea of him potentially returning to the UFC has garnered some conversation this fall.
Though it's not a guarantee he's actually interested himself in returning to the Octagon, he'll be welcomed back with open arms by the organization if he opts to make that comeback.
That's according to UFC President Dana White this week in a new edition of "The Download" on UFC.com. White says he'd be more than happy to have Lesnar on the roster again, and would be interested to see if he could be at 100% after getting past his diverticulitis issues.
"I have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time," White said. "I don't know, we'll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number."
"It's pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis. It would be interesting to see a 100 percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete."
Penick's Analysis: Lesnar was such a force for that two year run before running up against Cain Velasquez that it's absolutely intriguing to think about what he could have done had he not been felled by diverticulitis. Now, I still don't think we ever see him fight again, but if it's something he decides he wants to try again, the UFC is clearly on board in allowing him to do so. At the very least, he'd likely garner quite a buzz and a pay-per-view boost for those curious to see what he could do after so much time out of the cage.
