In what was easily the best performance he's had in years, Andrei Arlovski knocked out Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in their rematch at UFC Fight Night 51 in Brasilia on Saturday night.
Arlovski looked crisp, fast, and powerful from the outset, moving in and out with combinations while keeping Bigfoot flat footed in the center of the cage.
After a couple of minutes of stick and move action for Arlovski, he landed two vicious right hands that sent Bigfoot to the ground. Several brutal hammerfists followed, and Silva went out cold.
Arlovski now has two straight wins since returning to the UFC, and with his sole loss in the last few years coming against top light heavyweight contender Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, he finds himself renewed into the heavyweight picture in 2014.
