Another UFC fighter has found himself in trouble with the law, as Nick Diaz was arrested in his home city of Stockton, Calif. this week.
According to a report from LodiNews.com, Diaz was arrested last Saturday "on suspicion of DUI, obstructing a police officer, destruction of evidence, and driving with a suspended license."
He's expected to be arraigned within 21 days from the arrest, though it's unlikely to keep him out of his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183 on Super Bowl weekend.
Penick's Analysis: Diaz isn't the first, nor will he be the last to have a situation like this happen, but I doubt the UFC hands him any discipline. He's too high up the ladder, and that fight with Silva is too important for the UFC. While someone more expendable may be made an example of for breaching the UFC's conduct policy, don't expect something to happen here.
