Elizabeth Phillips lost a questionable split decision against Milana Dudieva Saturday morning in Macau, China, at UFC Fight Night 48, and she wasn't happy about it. In a rant on her Facebook page, she railed against the judges decision, Milana herself, and even the UFC before saying she's stepping back from fighting for a while.
While her Facebook page is private, someone posted a screenshot to Twitter of her rant.
"I got robbed so f***ing bad. I hate the UFC," Phillips wrote. "I was on top dominating all three [rounds] elbowing this Russian [piece] of crap. And they said I lost split decision. Anybody says that I lost is a [piece] of crap and will get deleted from my friends list cause I whooped her ass the whole fight. I'm done fighting for a while cause this is some corrupt s***."
Penick's Analysis: I can see being upset about the decision, especially 30-27 in Dudieva's favor, but the idea that she "whooped her ass the whole fight" is just false. Dudieva did a lot of damage in the first two rounds, and it was Phillips who had her face busted open. Sure, it was questionable to give Dudieva the fight, but it's far from a robbery, and wasn't even the worst decision on the card.
