Due to potential injuries suffered at UFC on Fox 12 on Saturday, Matt Brown, Tim Means, and Gilbert Burns could be out up to six months. Additionally, Means' opponent, Hernani Perpetuo, is out indefinitely until he receives doctor's clearance.
The four were among a number of fighters who received medical suspensions from the California State Athletic Commission, though the remainder of terms handed out were much shorter. In fact no other fighter received more than a two month suspension pending doctor's clearance.
The full list of suspensions is below (via MMAJunkie.com):
-Matt Brown: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days; additionally, suspended 60 days for nasal laceration, and 180 days for possible nasal fracture unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days; additionally, suspended 60 days for right eyebrow laceration unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Clay Guida: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days; additionally, suspended 60 days for facial laceration unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Josh Thomson: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 60 days for right eyelid laceration unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Daron Cruickshank: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 60 days for left eyelid laceration unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Kyle Kingsbury: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days.
-Hernani Perpetuo: Suspended indefinitely for possible left wrist fracture and possible right foot fracture. Must be cleared by doctor.
-Tim Means: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 180 days for possible finger fracture unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Gilbert Burns: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 60 days for right eyebrow and scalp lacerations, and 180 days for possible left thumb fracture unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Andreas Stahl: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 180 days for possible left cheek and nasal fracture unless cleared earlier by doctor.
-Steven Siler: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period; additionally, suspended 60 days for left thumb laceration unless cleared earlier by doctor.
