Final ratings numbers are in for the UFC on Fox 12 event from Saturday night, and the show received a similar boost to April's UFC on Fox 11 event with west coast viewership and the overrun taken into account.
According to Carleton Curtis, the Senior Director of Digital Strategy with Fox Sports, the show averaged 2.5 million viewers, matching the UFC on Fox 11 numbers. Additionally, the two hour prelims drew 1.3 million viewers to the network from 6-8PM ET.

Penick's Analysis: It wasn't quite the boost I thought it might get given the main event during the overrun, but it's in line with what the UFC has gotten during the summer the last couple of years. It's got to be disappointing in some respects, though, as this was a great main event, and it did under what Lawler drew six years ago on CBS with Elite XC's second network card. Now, the landscape for MMA has changed in the U.S. since 2008, but it remains a little crazy that the UFC isn't consistently beating some of those numbers on network TV.
UPDATE: The show peaked with 3,427,000 viewers during the overrun, higher than April's peak of 3.3 million viewers for UFC on Fox 11.
