By Matt Pelkey, MMATorch Columnist MMAWeekly.com is reporting that Justin Buchholz has withdrawn from his fight against Terry Etim due to a severe staph infection in his arm. Stepping in on short notice will be Palace Fighting Championship lightweight champ Brian Cobb. Cobb comes in on a nine fight winning streak, and will be looking to make a statement in his UFC debut.
UFC 95 takes place next Saturday, February 21st from the O2 arena in London England.
Pelkey's Analysis: This is sad news because Buchholz vs. Etim was the one fight on the UFC 95 undercard I was looking forward to. Cobb is a nice last minute replacement, but this has to be one of the weaker undercards we've seen in some time. On a side note, UFC 95 is getting quite lucky as its been bitten by the injury bug a bit (Shannon Gugerty also had to pull out of his fight), but the main card fights haven't been effected.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
