...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief With no word as to the main event of UFC 96, the undercard continues to develop with the addition of a bout between Matt Hamill and UFC newcomer Mark Munoz. MMAJunkie.com reported the signing of the bout this afternoon. Hamill is getting right back to action after handily defeating Reese Andy at UFC 92, and he'll be looking to build on that performance when he welcomes Munoz to the Octagon.
Munoz enters the UFC with a 5-0 record, and was a part of the WEC roster. With the folding of the WEC's light heavyweight division, he's one of the fighters brought along into the stacked division in the UFC, and he'll have a tough test in his debut with Hamill.
UFC 96 comes live on pay-per-view on March 7th from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Penick's Analysis: HI'm excited to see if Hamill can keep some momentum and follow up on a good performance. As for the event itself, there are some good match ups right now for the card, but nothing really is over-exciting so much so that you'd want to pay for it, so again unless they pull out an out of left field main event to gain some energy for the show this could do poorly on pay-per-view.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
