Bellator is not having a lot of luck for their summer series thus far, having already lost one title fight from their kick off event next week. Now, they've lost a tournament final between Douglas Lima and Ben Saunders on next month's Bellator 97 card.
According to a report from Sherdog.com, Lima has torn cartilage around his ribs, taking him out of the July 31 event from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M.
The two fought once back in 2011, with Lima scoring a knockout to win the season five welterweight tournament. The two worked their way back to a rematch in the season eight finals this spring, but it got pushed back to the summer, and has now been pushed back yet again.
