Two more fights are headed to the UFC 161 card in Winnipeg this June, as the UFC announced on Wednesday that welterweights Sean Pierson and T.J. Waldburger will square off, as will lightweights Sam Stout and Isaac Vallie-Flagg.
Pierson was supposed to return to the cage in Montreal this month at UFC 158, but an injury forced him out of a matchup against Rick Story. He'll now return in June, hoping to extend his current two-fight winning streak.
Waldburger's won three of his last four fights, and four of six overall in the UFC, with losses coming against Johny Hendricks and Brian Ebersole. In that stretch, he's scored three submission wins, including his last fight where he choked out Nick Catone with a triangle choke at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale.
Stout will make his 16th appearance inside the Octagon, entering the event off a contested split decision win against Strikeforce import Caros Fodor at UFC 157 last month. He'll now meet another Strikeforce import in Vallie-Flagg, but this one's got a UFC win under his belt.
Vallie-Flagg, who won both of his fights in Strikeforce before making his UFC debut, extended his current unbeaten streak to 12 fight when he beat Yves Edwards at UFC 156. He's won his last three fights by split decision.
UFC 161 will mark the UFC's debut in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, taking place on June 15 with an Interim Bantamweight Championship bout between Renan Barao and Eddie Wineland in the night's main event.
