The injury bug has taken perhaps its biggest fight of 2013 thus far, as MMAFighting.com reports that Alistair Overeem has suffered an injury, taking him out of his UFC 160 bout against Junior dos Santos this May.
The undisclosed injury happened during a recent training session, and will sideline him for four to five weeks.
The two engaged in in a verbal war throughout 2012, as Overeem's license denial due to a failed drug test took him out of their first scheduled bout. Then, dos Santos was defeated by Cain Velasquez in their rematch in December before Overeem was knocked out by Bigfoot Silva at UFC 156.
The two were rebooked on the UFC 160 card alongside the Velasquez-Silva rematch, but will once again need to wait to settle their differences.
