A light heavyweight bout between Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans will indeed head to UFC 161, as the organization officially announced the fight on Tuesday night.
The bout had been previously reported, but though it had been agreed to, the UFC was awaiting word on Henderson's medical clearance after his loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC 157 last month in Anaheim. Once they got that clearance, the bout was made official.
Both fighters will attempt to bounce back from decision losses in February, as Henderson's title run was halted by the split decision against Machida, and Evans came back after ten months out of action to drop a decision to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
In addition to that bout, the Soa Palelei vs. Stipe Miocic bout was officially confirmed for the June 15 event in Winnipeg, and a main event is still to come.
