The upcoming middleweight fight between Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold now has a date and location, as Tatame.com reports that their bout will headline UFC on FX 8 on May 18 in Santa Catarina Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.
It will be the UFC's first event in the city, and they'll head to the 16,000-seat Jaragua Arena for the event, which comes a week before UFC 160 in Las Vegas.
Belfort enters the fight off a second round head kick knockout over Michael Bisping, which also came in Brazil at UFC on FX 7. That bounced him back from a loss to Jon Jones when he jumped up on short notice to challenge for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship last September.
Rockhold makes his UFC debut, fighting for the first time since a win over Tim Kennedy last July. The final Strikeforce Middleweight Champion has won nine straight fights, a run spanning over five years.
