The UFC has added four more fights to April's UFC on Fox 7, announcing a slate of lightweight matchups overnight.
Two solid Ultimate Fighter vets will clash when Myles Jury and Ramsey Nijem square off, "TUF: The Smashes" winner Norman Parke fights for the first time out of the show against Justin Tuck, one time Strikeforce Title challenger Jorge Masvidal makes his UFC debut against Tim Means, and his fellow Strikeforce vet Roger Bowling takes on Anthony Njokuani.
Jury and Nijem meet with a combined 5-0 record in the UFC's lightweight division. Nijem dropped to the weight class after a loss to Tony Ferguson in the TUF 13 finals, and has won three straight fights at 155 lbs. Jury has been very impressive since his stint on the live season of TUF, first submitting Chris Saunders and then dominating Michael Johnson in an upset decision victory.
Parke won his seventh straight fight in December, defeating fellow Team UK competitor Colin Fletcher in the finals of their TUF season. He takes on Tuck, who moved his career record to 7-0 last November when he defeated Tiequan Zhang in Macau at UFC on Fuel 6.
Masvidal is 3-1 over his last four fights in Strikeforce, with the sole loss coming in a five round decision against Gilbert Melendez. He's welcomed to the UFC by Tim Means, who is unbeaten in his last 11 fights and is 2-0 inside the Octagon. In his most recent fight, he took out Justin Salas just over a minute into the fight.
Finally, Roger Bowling looks to bounce back from a loss to Tarec Saffiedine in his last bout, dropping to the lightweight division for his UFC debut. He takes on the inconsistent Njokuani, who is 6-6 under the Zuffa banner back to his time in the WEC. He's alternated wins and losses over his last six fights.
UFC on Fox 7 is headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Ben Henderson and Gilbert Melendez.
