UFC 156 has added a bantamweight bout between Edwin Figueroa and Francisco Rivera, as UFC officials announced the matchup this week.
Figueroa has appeared three times in the UFC thus far, winning two straight fights after a decision loss to Michael McDonald in his UFC debut. That fight remains his only career loss.
Rivera has appeared in four fights under the Zuffa banner, but holds just a 1-2 record with one no contest. That no contest came in July, when his knockout win over Roland Delorme was overturned when he tested positive for a banned over-the-counter stimulant.
UFC 156 will be headlined by a Featherweight Championship bout between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar, coming to Las Vegas on Feb. 2.
