An exciting flyweight fight between "Uncle Creepy" Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez is headed to UFC 156 in Las Vegas this February, according to one of McCall's sponsors, MMA Elite.
The fight is McCall's first since a loss to current Flyweight Champion Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson in the second of their two meetings this year. The first fight was supposed to go to a sudden death fourth round when it ended in a draw in the opening round of the first-ever mini-tournament to introduce the division. However, the scores were read incorrectly, leading to an immediate rematch months later.
McCall fell short against Johnson, who then edged past Benavidez in September by split decision to capture the UFC Flyweight Championship. This will be Benavidez's first fight since that loss.
UFC 156 takes place on Feb. 2 in Las Vegas, headlined by the Featherweight Championship bout between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar.
