Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's final UFC fight was planned for last month's UFC 153 event in Brazil, but an injury took him out of a proposed bout with Glover Teixeira. After Teixeira brutalized Fabio Maldonado at the event, Rampage said he still wanted that fight.
It appears he's gotten his wish, as he took to Twitter on Tuesday night with a date and location for that fight.
"Outside the cage I hate no one. Life is too short for that," he wrote. "Inside the cage my Job is to destroy! Glover is done on Jan 26 in Chicago."
That would put this fight on the UFC on Fox 6 card, which heads to the United Center in Chicago on that date. The event is also expected to feature a lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis.
Penick's Analysis: The UFC must surely feel confident that Teixeira's going to roll through Rampage, because I can't imagine they'd put Jackson in such a high profile spot in his final fight if they thought he was likely to win. Their relationship has deteriorated over the last couple of years, and right now both sides seem ready to get it over with.
