After UFC on Fox 5 lost a fight on Wednesday, Thursday brings news of an injury for the UFC on FX 6 card in Australia. The UFC's Australian Twitter account revealed on Thursday that Kyle Noke has suffered an injury, taking him out of a bout with Seth Baczynski on the Dec. 15 card.
Noke moved back to the welterweight division last month, halting a two-fight losing skid when he took out Charlie Brenneman in 45 seconds at UFC 152. The Australian native was hoping to return home to fight for the first time since February of 2011, where he picked up a "Submission of the Night" win over Chris Camozzi at UFC 127.
Baczynski now awaits a new opponent, which is expected to come in quick order. Baczynski enters the event riding a six-fight winning streak, including four straight in the UFC. Most recently, he knocked out Simeon Thoresen at UFC 152.
UFC on FX 6 takes place in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia on Dec. 15, airing in the U.S. live on Friday, Dec. 14 due to the time difference. The card is headlined by a lightweight bout between TUF: Team UK vs. Team Australia coaches Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos.
