Gareth Davies of the UK's Telegraph publication yesterday spoke with a couple of people close to the Wolf's Lair gym about Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's upcoming bout with Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92. Former strength and nutrition coach for Ricky Hatton, Kerry Kayes is a fitness consultant for the Wolf's Lair, which houses the likes of Michael Bisping and Rampage. On Jackson, Keyes states, "Rampage is physically one of the strongest fighters I've ever seen and after we've redesigned his diet and food intake. He should be stronger than ever for this next fight."
Rampage's trainer and manager Anthony McGann took that one step further, stating, "You will never have seen the Rampage you're going to see at UFC 92. This is Rampage who has been training with top sparring partners and top experts in all the various fields, top conditioners, top strength and diet experts like Kerry Kayes. This is the Rampage who is going to win back his UFC Title and defend it for years."
We'll find out next month, of course, whether Rampage's ordeals over the last several months have truly turned him around, and he'll have his chance to make a statement against the man that defeated him twice in Japan, Wanderlei Silva. That fight will happen at UFC 92, on December 27th on pay-per-view.

Jackson can prepare his body in any number of ways but one has to wonder
just how strong he is mentally.
No one can attempt to jump off a building and then try to rationalize that
it was an isolated incident and that no one should worry.
Rampage didnt actually attempt to jump off a building but he clearly was at
his wits end back in July and there is no way that he has successfully put
this behind him.
You can take a part-time job but you can't be part-time crazy and I have a
hard time believing that all issues have been sufficiently worked out.
There exists no protein shake or training program capable of providing any
man with the strength to battle his demons and those foes should be fought
before he even considers Silva.
