"Thanks to everyone for the support, I'm so sorry I lost. I feel so bad for letting my fans down, but I promise to make it up to you.... Not injured, just caught with a perfect knee to the solar plexus and it paralyzed me, was just getting movement back when fight was stopped."
-Stephan Bonnar took to Twitter following Saturday's loss to Anderson Silva to comment on the fight from UFC 153.
Penick's Analysis: I'm not sure if he's trying to suggest the fight should have continued, but the knee definitely took him out of commission and he couldn't defend himself as Silva pounced. Perhaps he would have regained his bearings, but there wasn't anything wrong with the stoppage as it happened. He's not saying that, of course, but regardless the stoppage was fine. I'd also say he has nothing to feel sorry for. He performed as well as anyone could have expected; Silva's just that much better than everyone he steps in the cage against, and Bonnar has nothing to be ashamed of by what happened on Saturday.
