"The UFC made me very happy giving me this fight right now. It is a pleasure to fight with Edgar inside my country. I think this is going to be the fight of the year. It is a great opportunity to show everyone I'm the best. I will be looking to finish the fight at all times... I think Edgar will lose a little bit of his speed at 145 pounds. At 155 pounds his speed made a big difference for sure but at 145 pounds I don't see any difference between him and the other fighters... In my mind I'm always the best pound for pound fighter in the world. My fight with Edgar is a big challenge for me but after him I will have another big challenger. For me the next fight is always the biggest. Edgar is a great fighter but I'm the champion and still going to be the champion."

-UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo talks to BleacherReport.com about his upcoming matchup against former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 153.

Penick's Analysis: Aldo points out one of the biggest question marks about Edgar's move to the featherweight division. It's a faster game at 145 lbs., and it could bring Edgar back to the pack a little bit, whereas his speed was a massive asset at 155 lbs. Of course, he might not slow down at all despite the weight cut. That's an issue that will play out in the cage, but it's certainly something to look for in that matchup. As for Aldo, he's got to be relishing this opportunity, because this is a chance for him to go out and do something no one has yet done. If he can find a way to stop Edgar, he'll become the first fighter ever to do so, and leave no doubt in the minds of anyone that he's one of the very best fighters in the world.
