In advance of the UFC on Fox 4 event from Los Angeles on August 4, the UFC will bring a new preview special to the network. The UFC and Fox announced on Monday that two one-hour specials will precede the August and December events on the network, with the first debuting on Sunday, July 29.
The first hour-long special will go in-depth with headliners Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Brandon Vera, as well as others featured on the August 4 event from the Staples Center. It will air from 2-3PM ET.
The next special will then air on Sunday, Dec. 2, at either 3PM ET or 4:30PM ET, depending on the time of the local market NFL games on that date. That event will go in-depth with fighters on the Dec. 8 Fox card, the fourth Fox card in 2012.
UFC on Fox 4 features four bouts on the network, including the night's headliner between Rua and Vera. Joining that fight will be a lightweight bout between Terry Etim and Joe Lauzon, a heavyweight bout between Travis Browne and Ben Rothwell, and finally a light heavyweight bout between Lyoto Machida and Ryan Bader.
