Jake Ellenberger has won six straight fights in the UFC's welterweight division, fast emerging as the legitimate title contender in a division filled with names at the top. However, his Ultimate Fighter Finale opponent Martin Kampmann plans on keeping that streak at six fights, and he thinks it will be a really quick night if Ellenberger chooses to grapple with him in Las Vegas.

"If Jake tries to take me down, I think it's going to be a real short night for him," Kampmann said in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. "I'm going to submit him quick."

The fight's got to hit the ground, of course, and though Ellenberger's confident in his wrestling abilities, he may be more confident in his hands. With that said, Kampmann himself feels fairly comfortable on the feet, and feels he can survive any attack that Ellenberger will present to him.

"I can take a good punch – I'm not worried about it," he said. "But I've got to make him miss (and) make him pay – that's the plan. But if he tries to take me down, it's going to be a short night. I feel my jiu-jitsu is way better than his, and he's got a lot of holes in his ground game that I can exploit."

"I'm on the right path, and come Friday night, I'll be better than Jake."

Penick's Analysis: Kampmann's had a bit of a frustrating career in the UFC, coming up short in a few fights that have halted his momentum, but he's still immensely dangerous. He holds a decision win over the current Interim Champ in Carlos Condit; granted, it was a razor thin split decision, but he's been competitive in almost every fight he's had in the welterweight division. The only time he's been stopped at 170 lbs. was against Paul Daley, and he was still on his feet when the stoppage was made. This is going to be a very good fight tonight on FX, and though Ellenberger is rightfully favored, Kampmann's definitely got ways to win, especially through a five round fight.
