Jason "Mayhem" Miller's return to the UFC was short-lived, as UFC President Dana White said he's done with the organization following a loss to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146 on Saturday night.

Most of the time, fighters are not cut after only a two-fight losing streak. However, a combination of especially poor showings in the cage from Miller, along with something backstage on Saturday night, led to the release.

"Something happened backstage afterwards... 'Mayhem' is done," White said plainly following the post-fight press conference (transcribed by MMAJunkie.com). However, White declined to go into specifics.

"Just some [expletive] I don't want to talk about," he responded when pressed for further comment.

Miller did not endear himself to the UFC, and White especially, in his return to the organization. Things went south quickly in December when he had an awful performance in a second round loss against Michael Bisping. The UFC nearly released him then, but gave him one more chance at redemption against Dollaway.

That didn't work out so well. Dealing with a clearly injured knee, Miller was mostly ineffective on the ground, and that's where the fight wound up for much of the 15-minute time frame. Miller landed some hard strikes that did have Dollaway hurt, but he couldn't follow up on them, leading to a strange fight that received a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance.

But it wasn't all just about his in cage (lack of) performance. His over the top antics outside of the cage drew White's ire, and ultimately an as of yet unknown incident backstage was the final straw.

"When you have all these other organizations and people start saying this guy is the best and starts getting ranked and he hasn't fought the best guys in world yet... (this can happen)," White said of Miller's performance in the cage. "That's why I always call [expletive] on all these other organizations and their rankings."

"When you get embarrassed the way he did against Michael Bisping, then you show up in that pink whatever that thing was, I'm not into that stuff. It's not my thing. I guess I don't really care if guys do it because you see it at weigh-ins all the time. Just take this thing serious. If you want to be a clown do that stuff on your reality show."

Penick's Analysis: Posters on The Underground forum stated that Miller attempted to start a fight with Dollaway's corner backstage, but that it was broken up by security. If that is indeed the case, then I'm not at all surprised it was the final straw. It's unfortunate it came after a fight in which he was battling an injury, but two bad performances and incidents outside of the cage were not going to bode well for Miller's future in the organization.
