With a ton of stoppages to choose from at UFC 146, the UFC opted to give two "Knockout of the Night" bonuses and two "Submission of the Night" bonuses in lieu of a "Fight of the Night" on Saturday night.

Those $70,000 bonuses went to Dan Hardy and Roy Nelson, who defeated Duane "Bang" Ludwig and Dave "PeeWee" Herman in quick fashion in Las Vegas.

The bonus will be especially sweet for Hardy, who snapped a four-fight losing streak with the win. His stutter-step left hook knocked Ludwig down, and several elbows on the ground put him out cold. The win was Hardy's first since November of 2009.

Nelson picked up his third first-round knockout win in the UFC, and did so in just 51 seconds over Herman. After a brief range-finding process, he landed an overhand right that crumpled Herman to the mat.

"Submission of the Night" also had a lot of competition, and Paul Sass and Stefan Struve beat out Glover Teixeira for the honors; Sass with a slick first round triangle choke/armbar combo over Jacob Volkmann, and Struve with a first round armbar of Lavar Johsnon.

After being taken down, Sass trapped Volkmann's right arm and locked on the hold quickly, then wrenched the arm to force a quick tap. In Struve's case, he pulled guard after Johnson pushed him to the fence, then quickly locked up the hold and forced the immediate tap.

Updated as UFC announced the extra bonus to Struve late.
