Next month's UFC on Fox 3 event has gotten a couple of shakeups on the preliminary card, with injuries removing both Darren Uyenoyama and Johnny Bedford from their respective matchups on the card.
Uyenoyama was scheduled to take on Ultimate Fighter season 14 winner John Dodson in a flyweight matchup, but Dodson will now take on UFC newcomer Tim Elliott. Dodson won the bantamweight tournament of season 14 in December, knocking out T.J. Dillashaw in the finals. Elliott enters with an 8-2-1 record, winning eight straight fights into this debut after a three-fight winless start to his career.
Bedford's injury means a new opponent for Canada's Nick Denis, and he'll now meet Bedford's TUF 14 teammate Roland Delorme, according to BJPenn.com. Denis made his UFC debut with a highly impressive TKO finish over Joseph Sandoval in January, ending the night early with a quick succession of elbows. Delorme made a successful UFC debut at the TUF 14 finale in December, taking out Josh Ferguson by submission to move his career record to 7-1.
