...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
By: Alex Williams, MMATorch Contributor The UFC announced today that UFC 93 will take place in Dublin, Ireland on January 17. Headlining the card are a bout pitting Rich Franklin against Dan Henderson (at light heavyweight) and a rematch between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Mark Coleman (also at 205). In the U.S., the event will air on pay-per-view, not Spike TV.
January 17 had been a rumored date for the next Affliction pay-per-view. However, don't expect the two events to run head-to-head. Following the UFC's announcement, Affliction VP Tom Atencio told Dave Meltzer at Figure 4 Weekly Online (subscription required) that Affliction will move its show to a different date.
