Four fighters earned $50,000 bonuses for their efforts in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday night, as Ivan Menjivar, Stipe Miocic, Diego Sanchez, and Jake Ellenberger each took home "Fight Night" honors at UFC on Fuel TV 1.

Menjivar earned the night's "Submission of the Night" in a blistering one round fight with John Albert. The two fighters traded offense for much of the first round, but Menjivar eventually got the better of Albert with a rear naked choke submission near the end of the frame.

Miocic took the "Knockout of the Night" for an impressively quick finish over the previously unbeaten Philip de Fries. Miocic tagged de Fries with a straight right that hurt him badly, and followed him to the cage with strikes before finishing things on the ground.

"Fight of the Night" went to the three round main event between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez. Ellenberger took control of the fight for the first two rounds, but Sanchez wouldn't let the fight go that easily. In the third, Sanchez came out with a fury and attempted to take the fight back in the final frame. It wasn't to be, and Ellenberger took the win by decision.

Penick's Analysis: I don't have any issues with the "Submission of the Night" or "Fight of the Night" awards, though I would have given consideration to Jonathan Brookins as far as "Knockout of the Night" was concerned. Miocic's finish was a good one, but Brookins putting Vagner Rocha out cold with a series of pinpoint short strikes to the jaw was fantastic and seemingly out of nowhere. Other than that, these awards were all well-deserved from a decently exciting night of fights.
