Eight fighters received medical suspensions following their fights at last weekend's UFC on Fox 2 event. The event took place from the United Center in Chicago, Ill., with the three fight main card airing live on Fox. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation handed out the suspensions, though the nature of the injuries involved were not released. Illinois also does not release fighter purse information, so the disclosed salaries for the event will not be known this week. Here is the list of fighters suspended, along with the length of those suspensions (via MMAJunkie.com):

* Phil Davis: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Chris Weidman: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
* John Olav-Einemo: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
* Nik Lentz: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* George Roop: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Joey Beltran: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 45 days
* Dustin Jacoby: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Chris Camozzi: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days

Penick's Analysis: I'm not surprised to see Beltran get the lengthiest time off, as he suffered the most damage on the card in his first round knockout loss to Lavar Johnson. Davis' suspension is likely surrounding the nasty cut he suffered on his shin, highlighted in Dana White's most recent video blog as he had it stitched up backstage. Same goes for Nik Lentz, who suffered some injuries in his loss to Evan Dunham. Roop and Jacoby may have suffered a few injuries not necessarily noticeable right away, and for Weidman, Einemo, and Camozzi, it was all likely relatively minor things out of their bouts.
