This month's UFC 135 event has suffered another hit, as MMAJunkie.com reports that the bout between Damacio Page and Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto has been scratched with both fighters suffering injuries into the event.

The fight was expected to take place as part of the night's Facebook preliminary card stream, and the loss of the fight brings the card back to just ten fights currently.

It's the second time injuries have held Yamamoto from a fight this year in the Octagon. After losing his UFC debut to Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson at UFC 126, Yamamoto was expected to return in May at UFC 130. An injury took him out of that event, and now he's delayed even further.

Page made his UFC debut in March in a WEC rematch with Brian Bowles, losing in the exact same fashion at the exact same second of the first round that he lost in their first meeting. It was his second straight loss, and now his chance to get on track is delayed as well.

The event comes to Denver's Pepsi Center on Sept. 24, headlined by the Light Heavyweight Championship fight between Jon Jones and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

Penick's Analysis: That's yet another blow to this card that hurts the undercard, as this would have been a very exciting bantamweight fight. Still, both fighters will be in the same spot they were in when they return to action, so hopefully they can both recover quickly and get themselves back in the cage to try to rebound from their recent setbacks.
