While the UFC's live debut on Fox comes on November 12 in Anaheim, Calif., they will have a presence on the network prior to that.
According to Dave Meltzer in an update at WrestlingObserver.com, the UFC will actually debut with a one hour Prime Time special on Sunday, October 30.
The hour long show, which will air immediately following the NFL post-game show for the day, is expected to highlight the November 12 live debut, which will bring two fights live to the network for the first time in an hour long special presentation.
No other details were reported, but more is sure to come out on this special in the next month or so.
Penick's Analysis: This could be a huge way to bring more awareness, and in turn a lot more viewers, to this first hour-long event on Fox in November. By having a preview show air right after Fox's NFL programming, and presumably this would be pushed all day during the NFL broadcast, they will have a ton of people tuning in that may not have caught the UFC before. This could be extremely beneficial to kicking off the UFC's new relationship with Fox, and I'm excited to see what they can put together for this Prime Time special.
