Four years ago today, the UFC's largest selling pay-per-view event ever, UFC 100, came live from Las Vegas, Nevada. The milestone event drew over a million and a half pay-per-view buys, decimating the record for the UFC that hasn't been touched since. Relive the event with MMATorch Editor Jamie Penick's live event report from that night four years ago!

-It's time to get this thing underway as UFC 100 is live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. This historic event is here, and we've got a great night of fights ahead of us tonight.

-The crowd is going crazy to start things off as Mike Goldberg welcomes the audience to the pay-per-view. Rogan talks up the main event and throw it to the text voting on that one. Then they break down GSP-Alves and the rest of the card.

Belcher backs off and throws a kick that Akiyama catches and drops him with a right. He lands a few more shots on the ground as the round ends.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Akiyama. Very close round that Akiyama took with the two knockdowns. They were pretty even in terms of damage. That was a great start to the fight.

Belcher pushes his leg on the cage and pushes off with a superman punch. That was awesome. Akiyama lands a left and ducks under a spinning back fist and takes Belcher down. Belcher gets back up and they finish trading punches until the bell sounds. Great fight to start.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Belcher. Another really good, really close round that I've got to give to Belcher for pushing forward and continually pushing the pace in that round. The stand up was near even throughout the bout, and it was a great fight either way. Tough one to score.

WINNER: Akiyama via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27)

STAR RATING: (***+) Great fight to start off this historic night, but a bit of a controversial decision. Joe Rogan said he thought Belcher got robbed, which I disagree with, but there's no way Akiyama won all three rounds. That was as bad as Rick Franklin getting a 30-27 score against Dan Henderson and losing to two 29-28 scores. It was a very even fight, though, and a great showing from Alan Belcher in the loss.

RAMIFICATIONS: Akiyama gets a win in his Octagon debut and will now look to establish himself in the middleweight division. Belcher doesn't lose much here, as it was that close of a fight and I can see arguments for him taking the first round which would have given him the fight.

FIGHT TWO: DAN HENDERSON VS. MICHAEL BISPING (MIDDLEWEIGHT):

ROUND ONE: Henderson walks Bisping down right off the bat as Bisping tries to work the outside. Bisping makes first contact with a quick left. Henderson tries to run Bisping down and land the big right but Bisping avoids two in a row. Bisping tries to throw a couple more jabs. Henderson barely misses the right. Henderson continues to chase Bisping down on the cage and lands a couple of shots. Bisping lands a good high kick right punch combo. Bisping lands a hard overhand right and Henderson clinches him into the cage, landing knees to the body. He's absolutely controlling Bisping here. He finally gets out of that. Bisping tried to shoot in on Henderson and Hendo shrugged him off. They both swung for the fences and missed. Henderson landed a big left as the round ends.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Henderson. He controlled the cage and had Bisping in trouble a couple of times there. Good start to the fight.

ROUND TWO: Bisping again tries to stick and move on the outside as Henderson calmly stalks him. Bisping gets a good leg kick in. Henderson pushed in and tried to land the right but he missed again. Henderson comes in again and this time he lands the right but Bisping backs up and gets out of the way of damage. They trade a punch in the center of the cage, with Henderson getting a nice uppercut in. Henderson came in and Bisping landed a nice left. Henderson threw a leg kick and feinted in. Hendo missed the big right again. Bisping keeps working the jab. Bisping gets a good combo in. Henderson tries to chase Bisping down again and Bisping landed a couple of shots again. Henderson lands an inside leg kick and drops Bisping with the right hand. He's out and Henderson lands one more huge shot on the ground and it's all done. Holy hell that was a vicious shot. Bisping's still on the ground. He's hurt badly. That second shot was not needed, but that's called bad blood getting taken out in the cage. Wow. Bisping finally sits up as they are about to announce Henderson as the winner. Wow.

WINNER: Henderson via KO at 3:20 of the second round.

POST FIGHT: Henderson said after watching Bisping's fights he knew he would circle to his big right hand. Henderson said normally he's not that way and he lets it off when he knows if a guy's out but that one was to shut him up. Wow. He said he's going to do whatever the UFC gives him but he believes he's owed a shot.

STAR RATING: (****-) That was one of the most brutal knockouts in UFC history. I can't believe Henderson actually launched that last punch on Bisping, that was dangerous when he knew he was out, but thankfully Bisping's ok. Hell of a finish to the coaches feud.

RAMIFICATIONS: Well Henderson may be in line for a title shot now, but it's not a given like it would have been if Bisping had won. Bisping will need to go back to the drawing board as he looked out of his element against Henderson tonight.

-And we're going right to the Welterweight Title bout!

FIGHT THREE: GEORGES ST. PIERRE VS. THIAGO ALVES (WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP)

ROUND ONE: Huge GSP chant to start. GSP lands an inside leg quick right off the bat. Alves tries to throw a leg kick but GSP avoids it. Alves throws a high kick that GSP blocks. Thiago's been cut above the right eye. Thiago pushes him off and gets back to his feet but GSP stays on him and clinches on the cage to end the round.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 GSP. That was a nearly dominant round. The takedowns were very good and GSP got the better of the striking as well. Alves is still very much in this though.

ROUND TWO: GSP gets the leg kick right away but Alves starts to try to walk him down. GSP lands a good jab. GSP lands the superman punch, followed by a leg kick and then he shoots in for the takedown and gets into half guard. Alves tries to get up and GSP smothers him. GSP briefly moves to mount but Thiago pushes to the full guard. GSP postures up and lands an elbow and Alves is bleeding badly from his nose right now. Another elbow lands from GSP. He postures up again to land another shot. Big short elbow again from Alves' full guard. GSP is so overpowering. He lands a big left and then a few more shots. He almost gets to side control but Alves keeps him in half guard. He gets him back into full guard but GSP postures up and lands a bunch more shots. GSP gets into the half guard again and he's just breaking Alves down here. Alves scrambles and gets up to his feet again but Georges stays on him to clinch at the cage. GSP lands a knee to the body. Alves lands a knee but the round comes to a close.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-8 GSP. That was a dominant, smothering round from the Champion. Alves is getting his will broken on the ground right now, and GSP is looking every bit like we thought he could.

ROUND THREE: Alves came out swinging and they traded some shots. GSP shot in but Alves shook this takedown off. GSP gets a good inside leg kick in. Thiago is very hesitant right now. GSP is sticking and moving nicely. He threw a high kick but Alves blocked it. Alves threw two straight kicks that looked nice. GSP shot in after a kick and got the takedown again. He lands a huge two punch combo that drops Alves and he goes for the kill. Alves tries to recover as GSP lands a ton of punches and elbows. The pay-per-view feed almost went out as the round did! The round ends with GSP on top.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 GSP. Not as dominant as the second round but GSP is dominating this whole fight. He's winning on the feet and he's winning on the ground. Good round for the Champ.

ROUND FOUR: Leg kick lands from GSP to start the round. He shoots in for a double leg and gets another big takedown. GSP moves beautifully into the mount with hooks. Alves got it back to half guard as GSP was going for an arm triangle. Alves tries to scramble back to his feet but GSP takes his back and tries to grab a submission but he's up too high and Alves gets out and on top of him. Thiago tries to posture up and throw down punches. GSP has the butterfly guard working and he's moving out of the way of Alves' shots. Alves lands a good right hammerfist. GSP pushes him off finally and gets it back to the feet. He didn't take much if any damage on the ground there. GSP lands a good left as Alves comes in. Alves lands a good knee to the body. GSP catches a body kick and drops him with a right hand. GSP tried to change position and he gets to the side and takes Alves' back. GSP gets the hooks in but he's going to run out of time in this round. We're going to a fifth. What a Championship fight right now from GSP.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 GSP. He's winning every round and Thiago's just surviving.

ROUND FIVE: Alves lands the leg kick and GSP lands a couple of punches. Leg kick from GSP and Alves lands a shot. He tries to throw an overhand right but he misses. He gets right hand in a short time after. GSP gets in with a couple of punches himself. GSP shoots in and gets the takedown again. Alves scrambles to his feet and GSP has him on the cage. Alves pushes him off with three minutes left in the fight. GSP lands a good leg kick. Alves misses a high kick. GSP gets a combo in. Georges lands a shot and shoots in for the takedown. Alves holds him off on the cage but GSP drops and picks him up to drop him again. GSP gets back into the half guard again and moves to side control. Alves scrambles and gets back to his feet again. He's got a ton of heart and is staying in this thing. GSP ducks under a shot and takes him down again. GSP throws a few short shots and continues to control Alves as the round winds down into the final minute. The crowd begins cheering for the defense by GSP. GSP takes Alves' back and pulls him down one more time as the round ends. Another epic GSP battle.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 GSP. Another dominating round by the Champion. Alves survived for five rounds but wasn't able to do much of anything in this fight. St. Pierre didn't finish him, but he didn't do anything stupid in this fight and executed a great gameplan. He also said he pulled his groin in the fourth round. GSP defends once again.

WINNER: GSP by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-44, 50-45)

POST FIGHT: GSP said he pulled his "abductor ligament" in the fourth round when Alves pushed his leg out. He's in clear pain here. He again said Alves was his toughest opponent and he'll come back stronger. He said he's going to have to sit down and talk with his management about what to do next. He's asked about a bout with Anderson if he moves up. He said he'd need to take the time to gain weight and take care of business.

STAR RATING: (****-) An epic five round title fight that, while completely one-sided, was never boring. Alves just simply wasn't able to do anything against the unrelenting takedowns and extremely good stand up game of the Champ.

RAMIFICATIONS: Alves needs a few wins to get back up the ladder, but he'll be back. GSP just continues to clean out the welterweight division.

They're going right to the main event here, and I'm wondering where Fitch-Thiago is.

MAIN EVENT FIGHT FOUR: BROCK LESNAR VS. FRANK MIR (UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP)

PRE FIGHT: We get more of the comments we've heard for weeks and Mir walks out looking calm and prepared. Lesnar again comes out to "Enter Sandman" meaning business to a large mixture of cheers and boos in both the crowd and this living room.

ROUND ONE: Brock turned away from touching gloves. Mir took the center of the Octagon and Lesnar threw an inside leg kick early. He lands a really hard inside leg kick right after. He lands a huge right as Mir comes in and Mir clinches and drops to the ground for a leg. Lesnar moved out into half guard. Brock is stalled in Mir's half guard. He throws a short forearm. He throws some rights to the face of Mir as he controls his body. Lesnar is throwing some really hard rights in this position. He keeps trying to trap Mir's arm to throw punches and the crows starts booing even though Lesnar's putting a beating on him with these right hand punches. This is doing a lot of damage regardless of whether the crowd likes it. He starts throwing punches to the body and then back to the face. He's across Mir's body on the opposite side of his half guard to throw these shots and wear Mir out and punish him. Brock stays in control as Mir tries to move. Lesnar lands a big right hammer fist after a short elbow. Mir tries to move out and Lesnar lands a few more shots as the round comes to a close. Mir's face is messed up right now.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Lesnar. He didn't do enough to justify a 10-8 but he messed Frank Mir up on the ground there. He's very tentative and doesn't want to make a mistake, but I'm surprised it got out of the first.

ROUND TWO: Mir lands a left hand early. Brock went for a double leg but just tripped Mir up and let him up. Mir came in with a few punches and pushed Lesnar back to the cage. He landed a good shot and was going for a guillotine but Lesnar popped out of it. Lesnar grabbed his leg and Mir pulled a Faber-esque knee with his leg caught and Lesnar took him to the ground. He's not doing a whole lot other than sporadic shots and the crowd chants for a stand up. Lesnar lands a ton of right hand shots and has Mir in a bad spot. He throws a big run of successive shots and forces Dean to stop the fight. Mir struggles to his feet and Lesnar jaws with him and flips off the crowd as they boo him. Lesnar's out of his mind in anger after the fight.

WINNER: Lesnar via KO at 1:48 of the second round.

PRE FIGHT: Lesnar yells at the crowd to keep going and that he loves the boos. He said he pulled the horseshoe out of Frank Mir's head and beat him over the head with it. Oh my God Mir's face is so f'd up right now. The crowd keeps booing him and says he's gonna go home and drink a Coors Light because Bud Light won't pay him anything. That was hysterical. Mir said Lesnar did a good job neutralizing the standup and made a mistake and said "I guess I still got some more stuff to work on." He said he wanted to keep it on the feet thinking Lesnar's size and wrestling would help him out, and obviously that was the case.

STAR RATING: (***+) There wasn't much to it in the first round, as Lesnar used his size to neutralize Mir and launch a ton of right hands, but the second round beating was massive and a huge redemption for Lesnar. He certainly didn't endear himself to anymore people.

RAMIFICATIONS: Well Lesnar is an absolute beast that every heavyweight is going to have trouble with. He didn't want to make a mistake there and had to shrug off some big shots including a big knee from Mir there. Mir has to climb back up the ranks as it will drop him a ways.

FIGHT FIVE: JON FITCH VS. PAULO THIAGO (WELTERWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Fitch comes right out with a leg kick and chases Thiago down, landing a body kick as well. He comes in with another big kick and a right hand. Fitch shoots in and Thiago grabs an arm-in guillotine and Fitch tried to work his way out. Fitch is in a tough spot on top here and is patiently trying to move out of this spot. Thiago tried to move to a D'arce choke. Fitch is still trying to throw short punches to break out of this choke. Fitch finally got out of it and scrambled to try to get to mount. Thiago held onto him. Thiago rolled and Fitch tried to take his back. Thiago moved off to the side and tried to trip Fitch up. Fitch tries to throw punches and elbows to the side of the head and keeps throwing those shots as Thiago tries to drag him to the ground. The round comes to a close.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Fitch. Thiago had some submission attempts but Fitch wasn't in serious trouble and peppered him with a number of shots in that round.

ROUND TWO: Fitch lands a big right hand early as he shoots in and clinches Thiago on the cage. He picks him up and gets the takedown. Thiago again gets Fitch in a near guillotine and we're back to the same position from the first round. Fitch gets out easily this time and postures up. Thiago rolled for a kimura and Fitch took his back. Paulo had his feet on the mat and got around to try to pull Fitch to the ground. They clinch at the cage and Fitch gets a really hard slamming takedown. He again takes Thiago's back and tries to get his second hook in. He gets both hooks in and tries to flatten Thiago out. He starts throwing punches as he's high on Thiago's back. Thiago does a nice job of getting out of the spot and Fitch ends the round on Thiago's back.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Fitch. Another good round for Fitch with some big takedowns.

ROUND THREE: Fitch stalked Thiago down and threw a flurry of shots and shot in to get another takedown. Fitch tried to move to mount and again got Thiago's back when Thiago went for a kimura again. This is an extremely technical fight. Fitch moved over to the mount and Thiago gives up his back again. Fitch gets both hooks in while Thiago's standing and Thiago jumps back to slam him. Thiago tried to go for another choke but again Fitch got out of it. Thiago threw a ton of up kicks as Fitch came down on him.Fitch again got Thiago's back and threw a bunch of shots. He again takes Thiago's back and gets both hooks in. He gets the body triangle locked in and rolls through with him and keeps trying for the choke. Thiago's defending it well. Fitch keeps throwing punches and Thiago's going to survive to the scorecards.

Penick's Scorecards: 10-9 Fitch. Very good grappling bout that Fitch just absolutely took over in the third. Thiago held on and didn't let Fitch submit him but he got completely outworked.

WINNER: Fitch via unanimous decision. (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

POST FIGHT: Fitch said it was a challenge as they were supposed to go earlier and he's about an hour off of where he was supposed to fight so it was a bit off for him. He said he doesn't dictate too much of a strategy and takes whatever windows open for him.

STAR RATING: (***-) It was a slower paced bout but a good grappling match with two very solid ground fighters. Fitch gets his tenth win in the Octagon and is likely a win away from another shot at Georges St. Pierre.

-Tom Lawlor picked up the submission of the night on the undercard over C.B. Dollaway. A bit surprising, but a big win for "Just Bleed" Tom Lawlor.

-Goldy and Rogen recapped the Championship bouts to close out the show.

-Well the night has come and gone. It's a little disappointing we didn't get to see any undercard bouts, but we got a ton of amazing action on the main card; from Henderson knocking out Bisping, to GSP cementing his "best of the best" status at welterweight, to Brock Lesnar pummeling the hell out of Frank Mir, the night was certainly no disappointment.
