...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
The episode starts with Sako Chivitchian talking about his upcoming fight with Jonathan Brookins. He says he's going to beat him. Georges St. Pierre introduces a new method of training for his team, more tactical than hardcore. He says he wants his team to be hungry and to feel that they don't train enough. That way they'll be hungry to fight. Sounds a bit odd to me, but you can't doubt GSP.
Jonathan is training various ground-and-pound techniques in preparation. GSP is confident in Jonathan. Josh Koscheck is coaching Sako about how to defend and not give his back up to Jonathon. The plan is for Sako to keep the fight standing. Sako is confident in his training.
Some of the guys in the house are acting like young guys. Nam Phan and Jonathan are outside talking about the things they want to achieve in life. They seem to be among the most mature guys in the house.
That live-action Call Of Duty commercial is airing right now. I love this commercial. My favorite part is seeing Kobe Bryant out there wielding and gunning.

ROUND 1- They start with jabs, testing the range. Sako has Jonathan against the cage. Jonathan flips Sako around and into the mat. Jonathan takes Sako's back. That's not good for Sako, Jonathan is excellent working on someone's back. Jonathan wraps his arm around Sako's neck area and is slowly cinching in a rear-naked. Jonathan gets the choke on and Sako has to tap.
WINNER- Jonathan Brookins by Submission
Koscheck consoles Sako, who is very upset with himself. Sako says he'll be back. Jonathan is very pleased.
All of Cody McKenzie's professional MMA wins are by guillotine except one. GSP notes how confident Cody is in himself. GSP thinks that Nam Phan, Copy's opponent tonight, will give Cody trouble. GSP's strategy for Cody is to put Nam on the fence.
Koscheck tells Nam that he better beat Cody. Koscheck strongly dislikes Cody. Koscheck is having his team attack Nam's neck from every angle possible. He really doesn't want Cody to win by guillotine.
Both guys make weight. Dana White talks a bit about Cody and Nam and how they match up. Nam and Cody are talking in the kitchen. Cody thinks that Nam is digging for any inside information. Kind of sounds like it, but Nam seems like a good guy so I don't know.
Cody says that people always underestimate him because of his long hair and normal body type. Nam says that Cody's techniques aren't correct, but they work. Just before the fight, Nam is in his psycho-looking zone.
FIGHT- Cody McKenzie vs. Nam Phan
Cody is 6 inches taller and has a 5 inch reach advantage. Josh Rosenthal is the referee.
ROUND 1- Cody has Nam pushed up against the fence early. They're both battling for position, but seem to be stalemated. Cody takes Nam to the mat. Cody works some ground-and-pound. Nam isn't listening to Koscheck's coaching. Nam separates and escapes. Cody looks tired. Nam with a straight right. He connects with another. Cody is gassed out. Cody goes for a takedown, but doesn't have the energy. The round ends as Cody tries for another takedown, but can't get it.
ROUND 2- Nam is coming forward to start. Cody is working his counters well. Cody's shots don't have much behind them. Cody pushes Nam against the fence, but Nam quickly gets out. Nam is throwing some heavy body shots. Cody pushes Nam against the fence for a second, but Nam escapes. Nice head kick by Nam. Another body shot by Nam. Cody's reach advantage is really helping him here. Nam is really working hard, though. He's throwing bombs. Nam crunches Cody in the stomach, causing him to collapse. This is over. Cody's insides have to be busted up, maybe even bruising his ribs.
WINNER- Nam Phan by TKO
Koscheck is celebrating like he just won the world title. GSP says it bothers him, but he'll take it out on Koscheck in their fight. Cody is really taking the loss hard. It's MMA, man, everyone loses eventually. I understand his disappointment, though.
The fights were pretty good this week. Nam really showed a lot in his win. Jonathan also showed a lot. Both guys are looking good heading forward. Jonathan looks to be one of the favorites in my eyes. I can definitely see him going all the way. Time will tell, though.
NEXT WEEK- 2 more fights, Aaron Wilkinson vs. Kyle Watson and Michael Johnson vs. Alex Caceres
