We start off with a recap of last week's show as Team Mayhem continued to shut out Team Bisping. The show starts with Team Mayhem celebrating Dustin Pague's win. Diego starts yelling for some reason. Don't know what's up with him, I guess he wants to fight.
Later, Jason "Mayhem" Miller comes to the house. Mayhem talks to some of the team about the rat on Team Mayhem, and finds out that it's John Dodson. The plan is to try to subvert the mole by mixing up the plans, and feeding Dodson false information. Steven Siler weighs in at at about 157lbs. He's still acting like he's going to fight next.
Team Bisping is told that Diego is going to fight. They're eating it up, just as Mayhem planned. Diego is training to prepare for what he believes is the upcoming fight.
They just showed a commercial for GSP vs. Condit. Way to be up to date, guys. Back to the shoe, Josh Ferguson grabs Dustin's cowboy hat. Josh feels that Dustin is ripping him off. Dustin thinks Akira did it. He proceeds to destroy everything he can find of Akira's. Dustin says he's going to crush Akira and all that. We'll see. Dustin trashes more of Akira's stuff. Take it easy, pal.
Akira finds all his stuff all over, and is pissed. Akira and Dustin go face to face, and Bisping steps in to break it up. Akira is yelling about fighting Dustin in the garden. Bisping is a bit perplexed by that, as am I.
The fight announcement is next. Dustin and Akira keep yelling at each other. Mayhem tells Dustin to calm down. Mayhem gets to pick the fight again, and he chooses Dustin Neace to fight Akira. Akira lunges at Dustin and they start rolling around. Mayhem and Bisping break them up. A member of Team Mayhem yells at Bisping, causing Bisping to yell at the guy. Then Mayhem yells at Bisping. We got a bunch of yelling going on. Mayhem then announces that Steven Siler will fight Diego next week. Bisping complains more about Mayhem. They yell at each other some more. Mayhem tells Dodson that he is responsible for what just happened.
Team Bisping is training now. Akira is working hard. Bisping is trying to get Akira to focus as much as possible. They're working Akira on his wrestling, he's not doing so well. Team Mayhem is training, and Dustin is working hard on his stand-up and grappling.
Bisping doesn't show at the weigh-in. Both guys weigh in without problems. Bisping comes roaring in and just gets it at the face-off. Dustin is confident that he'll outlast Akira. Akira says it isn't personal. It sure seemed that way earlier when you wanted to fight him in the garden.
FIGHT- Dustin Neace vs. Akira Corassani
Dustin is 1 inch taller and has a 0.5 inch reach advantage
ROUND 1- They start tentative. Both guys are trying to find their range. A minute in, and we finally get contact. Dustin is coming forward. Neither guy has thrown and connected yet. Akira gets Dustin down and stands over him. Akira drops down into Dustin's guard. Akira drops an elbow. Akira is staying on top. Dustin works for an arm. Akira is in Dustin's half-guard. Dustin grabs Akira's leg and it looked like he tapped, but I guess not. Akira works his way free and they stand up. Akira connects with a hard shot. Dustin goes for a takedown and gets it. The round ends as they stand up.
ROUND 2- Akira gets Dustin against the cage. Akira is landing some nice knees. They separate. Akira misses a spinning backfist. Akira with a nice counter-punch. Akira drops Dustin with a strong counter. Akira starts wailing on Dustin, but he's covering up. Akira working his ground-and-pound. Akira starts dropping some bombs on Dustin. Akira drops a hard elbow. Dustin rolls around, but is unable to escape. They're in North-South. Dustin tries for a triangle, but the position isn't right. Dustin almost is able to get a triangle, but the round ends.
Mayhem throws water at Bisping. Keith Kizer tells Akira he's about to get suspended. Dana White says it looks like Akira tapped in that first round. It looked that way to me, too.
WINNER- Akira Corassani by Decision
I don't agree with that decision. It looked to me like Akira tapped in that first round. I also would have given Dustin the first round. They should have gone to a 3rd round, if nothing else. Everyone says it looked like Akira tapped. Regardless, Akira moves on.
NEXT WEEK- 2 fights in this episode
