Hello once again ladies and gentlemen. We've got a big shake up for the card tonight, as Ken Shamrock will not be fighting on this card. Ken suffered a cut that will keep him out of the main event tonight, and now Seth Petruzelli is shot into that spot.

-A very dejected Ken explains what happened earlier this afternoon and says that it's hard for him to swallow that he's been able to fight through an acl injury, and here a small cut is going to keep him out. He said he was going through some light work out, and received an accidental head butt that cut him. Ken says Kimbo deserves a beating, and he says he hopes that the fight will be put together as soon as the cut heals.

-Frank Shamrock calls out his adopted brother for training too hard too close to the fight date, and letting down the family name and the family legacy. Harsh words with no love lost between those brothers. That should be the next fight for those two.

[Commercial Break]

FIGHT ONE: MURILO "NINJA" RUA VS. BENJI RADACH (185 lbs)

ROUND ONE: Apparently Radach is a practitioner of "face-smashing-fu." Radach comes in and lands a ton of shots early and has Rua shaken the hell up. Rua responds with a short flurry, but Radach returns with a ton more shots. This is sloppy as all hell, and they both fall to the ground. The get toa clinch on their feet. They separate, and Rua lands a couple of really good knees before it gets taken back to the ground. Radach gets a leg caught, and almost gets locked in a submission, but he rolled out of it and gets top position. Rua finishes the round with a few shots.

Penick's Scorecard: That was a really sloppy first round, and doesn't help the impression of EliteXC being a third rate promotion. Rua may have won that round with the late round action, but Radach did a lot more damage. 10-9 Radach.

[Commercial Break]

ROUND TWO: Rua is the aggressor early in this second round. He lands a few shots before Radach responds with a good punch. They exchange for a bit longer before Rua slips on a flying knee, with following up with some really hard bombs to finish the fight.

WINNER: Benji Radach via KO at 2:31 of the second round.

STAR RATING: (**+) That was an exciting fight despite being really sloppy. Good knockout for Radach.

-Gina Carano is interviewed backstage. She needs to figure out a new training method or reevaluate her weight class if she's going to continue having such trouble making weight.

[Commercial Break]

FIGHT TWO: GINA CARANO VS. KELLY KOBOLD (WOMEN'S 140 LBS)

ROUND ONE: Carano lands the first blow, and Kobold immediately tries to wrestle Carano down. Gina keeps it on the feet nicely and shows some good balance against the cage. Carano pulls loose, and Kobold lands a couple of shots before Carano goes on a nice stretch of constant shots. She presses Kobold against the cage with shots, before she gets driven back into another cage clinch. Kobold is cut. They exchange again as the round comes to an end.

Penick's Scorecard: Carano looks crisp and she's picking her spots. Kobold is eating some shots in this fight. Good round for Gina. 10-9 Carano.

[Commercial Break]

ROUND TWO: Gina lands some knees to the face early in this round. Kobold brings it back to the cage, and both women land some nice shots in an exchange. Gina is still picking her spots, and her punches have a lot more behind them than Kobold. Carano's stand up is just so clean right now, and she's landing some beautiful left hooks. Kobold finally gets a takedown near the end of the round, and throws a couple of shots down onto Carano as the round closes.

Penick's Scorecard: Carano landed a ton again. That's another 10-9 round for her.

ROUND THREE: Kobold immediately goes for another takedown, but Carano again holds off on the cage. Kobold stomps on Gina's feet, but the ref splits them up. Carano lands a few more shots, and lands a hard jumping knee to the gut as Kobold comes in again. Gina almost locks in a rear naked choke from the side. They separate again and Carano lands a few punches and kicks and then finishes with a flurry of body kicks.

Penick's Scorecard: Carano again was just too much for Kobold in this fight. 10-9 again. Should be a unanimous decision for Carano.

WINNER: Carano via unanimous decision.

STAR RATING: (**) When the fight was standing, Gina kept things exciting with some crisp striking and a good overall stand up game. There was too much time spent by Kobold attempting the takedown, though, that dragged down a bit of the action.

[Commercial Break]

FIGHT THREE: ANDREI ARLOVSKI VS. ROY NELSON (HEAVYWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Nelson presses early and eats a leg kick. Arlovski tries to trip Nelson down, but he gets rolled through and Nelson ends up on top of him. He passes quickly into side control. Despite his appearance, Nelson works the ground game well here. Nelson tries to lock in a kimura, and lands a couple ofknees to the side. The ref stands them up due to lack of movement. Arlovski lands a nice knee in the clinch. After getting separated again, Arlovski lands a hard leg kick and follows with a short flurry.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Nelson. He stuck to a smart game plan in that round, but it was kind of a boring round.

-Tito Ortiz was interviewed ringside and he said that he's about a week away from signing a deal with EliteXC.

ROUND TWO: After another slow opening minute, Arlovski exploded with a flurry. He's stiffly landing a ton of shots. He presses some more and drops Nelson with another shot and that's your fight. Nice knockout for Arlovski.

WINNER: Arlovski via ko.

STAR RATING: (**-) Boring first round, but a nice knockout from Arlovski to finish Nelson off. Really good flurry at the end of the fight.

[Commercial Break]

FIGHT FOUR: JAKE SHIELDS VS. PAUL DALEY (ELITEXC WELTERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH)

ROUND ONE: Shields lands a couple of kicks early, but then eats a shot as he shoots in. Daley lands a leg kick of his own. Daley comes in with some nice jabs. Shields finally locks in a single leg takedown. He passes into side control and then quickly into mount. Great move to that mount there. Shields starts throwing some punches to the face and body from this position. Shields is doing a great job here keeping busy with shots and wearing Daley down with this mount. He lands a ton more shots before Daley finally gets out of the mount. Shields passes right back into the side control and into the mount again to land a bunch more shots. He starts throwing some elbows in there as well. Shields went for an armbar but Daley slipped out and landed a bunch of shots from the top before the round closes.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Shields. Daley did a great job with the mount.

ROUND TWO: Shields avoids a shot early and the sprawl. Daley almost gets caught in a leg lock but he slips out of it. Shields gets Daley to the ground again and finds himself back in the mount. Daley throws some more elbows and punches from the top. He locks in the arm bar and Daley is forced to tap after fighting it for a moment.

WINNER: Shields via submission at 3:40 of the second round.

STAR RATING:(**) Really good showing for Shields with some great jiu-jitsu to dominate Daley on the ground. Daley showed early why Shields wanted to take it to the ground and keep it from staying up, but he had no answer on the ground. That was a nasty arm bar.

[Commercial Break]

FIGHT FIVE: KIMBO SLICE VS. SETH PETRUZELLI (HEAVYWEIGHT)

-And now for the fight that no one's been waiting for.

-This is now yet another event for EliteXC going over the time allotted for DVR's. If people wanted to be watching this on a delay, they'd have the main event missing on their DVR. Time management is not a strong suit for Elite XC.

ROUND ONE: Kimbo pressed at Petruzelli, who waited, dodged a shot, and just attacked. He knocked Slice down, and he stayed on him and just launched shots onto Kimbo until the ref stopped the fight. Wow! Thank you, Seth Petruzelli.

WINNER: Seth Petruzelli via tko at :14 of the first round.

STAR RATING:(****-) The absolute shocking nature of that TKO is going to go down as a great moment for EliteXC. It was last minute for both guys, but Seth stepped up a to fight a guy at a higher weight level and he dropped him quickly. Kimbo's only m.o. was his stand up, and by getting taken out like that, EliteXC has no more excuse for jamming him down our throats as a superstar.

That's another CBS Saturday Night Fight's in the books, folks, so join us here at MMATorch.com tomorrow for some audio thoughts on the show, and more reaction from myself and the Torch staff on this shocking main event result. Thanks again for checking us out here on MMATorch.com.
