Another bout for WEC 45 has been finalized, as MMAWeekly.com reports that Takeya Mizugaki will face off against Scott Jorgensen in a bantamweight showcase on the December 19th event.
Mizugaki picked up his first WEC victory with a decision over Jeff Curran at WEC 42 in August. He came up short in his debut, though won over fans everywhere in one of the best fights of 2009 against then WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres.
Jorgensen rebounded from a razor thin split decision loss to Antonio Banuelos with a quick TKO victory over Noah Thomas earlier this month.
WEC 45 is headlined by a bout between Donald Cerrone and Ed Ratcliff and also features bouts with Joseph Benavidez, Chris Horodecki and Bart Palaszewski.
Penick's Analysis: I'm loving every fight they're putting together for this card. Jorgensen has made the television broadcast with many of his fights in the WEC and has proven himself as a very tough competitor. Getting a major step up in competition against Mizugaki will only make him a better fighter, win or lose. This card is really strong despite having no title fights or really huge names.
