Temporary suspensions have been officially issued to Rousimar Palhares and Jake Shields out of their WSOF 22 main event earlier this month.
The Nevada Athletic Commission officially handed down the suspensions at their latest meeting on Thursday in Las Vegas. Both fighters will be on a future agenda for complaints of "unsportsmanlike conduct" over the main event.
In that fight, Palhares was warned but not punished for eye gouges, and he held a kimura hold long after Shields had tapped and the ref stepped in. Shields himself faces discipline for throwing a punch after the bout because of those infractions.
Thursday's motion is simple confirmation of a previous report that they would be temporarily suspended pending a formal disciplinary hearing, and the video of the bout will be presented to the commission at that time.
