Jun 30, 2009 - 10:10:25 AM By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief WEC returns to action on August 9th in Las Vegas for another in a run of great events capped off with yet another title fight as Miguel Torres defends his WEC Bantamweight Title against Brian Bowles. The organization has now released the full card for the event from The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel, and both the main card and undercard are packed with some of the best the WEC has to offer.
In addition to the excellent Bantamweight Title bout to headline the night, the main card also features two very big bantamweight bouts in the form of Takeya Mizugaki against Jeff Curran and Joseph Benavidez against Dominick Cruz. The main card is rounded out by a bout between Ricardo Lamas and Danny Castillo, two fighters with combined 13-1 record. The full card for the August 9th event on Versus is below:
