By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief Bobby Lashley is very much looking to get back into action after his quick win over Bob Sapp at last night's "Ultimate Chaos" pay-per-view. After Lashley stated in his post fight interview that he would like to fight two more times during the year, MMA FanHouse reports that his next bout is likely to come in September.
The report states that Lashley has agreed to fight once again for Prize Fight MMA, one of the promoter's of the "Ultimate Chaos" event. Though no date or location has been set, the report states a likely date of September 26th.
Lashley moved to 4-0 with the dominating win last night, taking Sapp down immediately and using his superior wrestling to control Sapp and throw punches before Sapp ultimately tapped out to the strikes.
Penick's Analysis: Lashley's taking a smart approach to his MMA career thus far. Because he's got some name value due to his time in WWE it may have been easy for him to be pushed into a more high profile spot somewhere too fast and too soon. Because he's taking it slower and continually getting himself acclimated to the fight game he's setting himself up for future success as he brings his overall game up to speed with his natural athletic ability.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
