After the revelation that Bob Sapp will be taking on a fighter dressed as an anime character on the card, the most recent fight to be added to the night is a kick boxing rules fight between Alistair Overeem and Badr Hari.
Overeem first stated on his website that the two would be facing, saying "The discussion was who would fight under whos rules first and Alistair stepped up first! Alistair will fight Badr Hari at K1 Dynamite 31 december under K1 rules! Since Badr Hari challenged Alistair he sees no other option than cause another demolition and knock Badr Hari out! Both fighters agreed to fight in MMA rules early 2009!."
Now, DREAM's official website has the fight listed for the card. Overeem, of course, had been calling for a rematch with Mirko Cro Cop following their controversial no decision fight that ended due to illegal low blows from Overeem that Cro Cop could not recover from. Cro Cop will be fighting on this New Year's Eve card, but it won't be against Overeem. Instead, Cro Cop is facing the giant Hong Man-Choi on the card. The current 17 fight card is packed with some intriguing kick boxing match ups, a couple of freakshow bouts, and some highly exciting MMA bouts as well.
With no television deal in place, the only way for US fans to watch the event will be via a live internet stream available for purchase at EventMagic.TV.
