By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief The WEC will be showcasing their "Fight of the Year" nominees in a special "Best of 2008" program on the Versus network on Sunday, December 28th, at 9 PM ET. The show will consist of the top four fights of the year as determined by the WEC, and fans will be able to go onto Versus.com to vote from those four to determine the WEC "Fight of the Year." Voters will also be entered for a trip to WEC 38 on January 25th.
The four fights to be showcased during the special will be the Welterweight Title bout between Carlos Condit and Hiromitsu Miura from August's WEC 35; Miguel Torres vs. Yoshiro Maeda from WEC 34 for the Bantamweight Title; also from WEC 34, the epic Featherweight bout between Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver; finally, the unaired "Fight of the Night" from WEC 36, "Razor" Rob McCullough vs. Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.
The McCullough vs. Cerrone bout was not aired during the WEC 36 broadcast and Sunday night will mark the first time it's been available for viewing on Versus.
