Philippines based ONE Fighting Championship had another action-filled event in Singapore on Friday, topped by reigning DREAM Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki capturing yet another Title in Asia.
The event, ONE FC: Kings and Champions, aired live on internet pay-per-view, and featured a number of notable names on the card. In addition to Aoki, who defeated Kotetsu Boku with a second round rear naked choke in a one-sided fight, the card also saw WEC and UFC vet Brock Larson defeat longtime veteran Melvin Manhoef, and former UFC Champ Jens Pulver losing to Masakatsu Ueda in the semifinals of ONE FC's bantamweight tournament.
Larson bested Manhoef by decision despite a rough first round that saw him literally run away from Manhoef to avoid a rush of strikes, but he took control late in the second round, nearly ending things with an armbar at the horn. He then dominated the third frame and walked away with the decision.
Ueda was simply the better fighter against Pulver, ending things with a D'Arce choke in the second round to move on to the bantamweight tournament finals. He'll meet Kevin Belingon, who defeated Thanh Vu by TKO in the second round.
